Here at Bullfrog Fence, we are always asked a variety of questions in the Dallas Fort Worth market about fencing, with this being said here is a common one i.e. How Do You Prepare for a Fence Installation?
Since each and every fence preparation process can vary depending on what material that may be used. Today we put together two different examples too talk about.
First example, if you are planning to use let say metal for the new fence. Then you need to make sure to apply a primer and a general rust resistant coating or topcoat to increase the metal durability and longevity.
Second example, if you are planning to use let say wood for the new fence. Then you need to make sure that it is well protected from all the outdoor elements and conditions. This protection traditionally comes in from of a stain or a coating i.e. color or no color to ensure the wood preservation.
Tip: Paint is not recommended in this case because it does not seal and protect the wood, it just cover. Thus allows weather conditions and the elements to affect the fence.
Last thing on the wood, even though it is generally more expensive then other fence types. You should always consider on having pressure treated lumber or wood for your fence.
Tip: Cedar as a whole, when it is pressure treated prevents general rotten and decay coniferous species from consuming the fence & it helps to preserve your fence and general appearance.
